Alexina (Palmira Moreira), born in Almada, Lisbon in 1962, is a Portuguese artist who works in her studio in Azeitão, Lisbon. Having begun her artistic career in the mid-1990s, in ceramic decoration, Alexina currently dedicates herself to creating glass sculptures, using the fusing and slumping glass techniques. The artist reuses scraps of float glass, destined for recycling, combining them with various materials, some of which are approached from an upcycling perspective.

Her work, essentially inspired by Nature, has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Portugal and abroad, receiving recognition, including mentions of merit from the prestigious Luxembourg Art Prize. Alexina has also shared her knowledge through practical workshops in specialized magazines.

Producer Artist at IMARGEM (Almada Association of Visual Artists) since 2016 and founding member and board member of CVA – Artistic Valorization Collective (Azeitão) since 2017.
